I have lived in Amarillo, Texas my entire life. I have been married for 34 years. I have four adult daughters, two great son-in-laws and two grandchildren. Family is important to me. I work hard to help family's become healthier.
I attended WTAMU for both my undergraduate and graduate degree. I am certified as a special education teacher,

I attended WTAMU for both my undergraduate and graduate degree. I am certified as a special education teacher, school counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor and an LPC Supervisor.
I retired as a Behavior Intervention Counselor.
I have a small practice where I am committed in walking with clients on his or her journey to find healing, peace or contentment.
Community Involvement:
Serve on Leadership Amarillo/ Canyon's Board of Directors, on ONE Ministries Board of Directors and my church board.
Volunteered with Hope and Healing for seven years.
Serve as a Victim's Assistance Coordinator for the Dioceses of Amarillo

I know it is scary to set up an appointment if you have never been to counselor or changing counselors but change takes courage.
When a client sets up an initial sessions, it is for just the one session. Never do I schedule a second appointment until client goes home and sleeps on it to make sure I am a "good fit" for him or her.

When a client sets up an initial sessions, it is for just the one session. Never do I schedule a second appointment until client goes home and sleeps on it to make sure I am a "good fit" for him or her.
I see counseling as an agreement to commit to the work that needs to be put into it. Also I believe that clients need to feel comfortable with me, my therapy style and to make sure I am a good fit for them. At any time if the client feels that another counselor might be a better fit they are encourage to change.
I work with individuals, couples and family units.
My building offers activities such as baking, sand room, outdoor activities and an art room that allows us to use these while in our session. Often times for youth these activities help in the youth feeling relaxed to open up in counseling.

I do take several insurance plans. It is the client's responsibility to make sure that I am a provider with their insurance company.
If you do not have insurance and cannot afford the prices listed below. I do have a sliding scale that you might qualify for. Please ask about it.
Sessions are 50 minutes.
Initial First Sessions: $150
Individual 50 minutes sessions: $130
